Your web email form is not working.

Anyway my question was only: will a 2005 Radiator 4.0 work on an Ezzy 400 RDM?

i don't think powerex and ezzy are the same.
from memory they don't look the same. different colours i think

and i doubt powerex would produce a mast that's the same as theirs for someone else.

and i'm not real sure but can you mix and match tops and bottoms with powerex like you can ezzy.
they might be made in the same factory but i would say to different specifications

i too had heard ezzy and powerex were the same, but just recently someone showed me their skinny ezzy and the thin section of the ferrule was on the bottom section like on a conventional mast, while on my powerex it's on the top, and no kevlar reinforcing in the boom attachment area on the ezzy

maybe powerex make a budget version for ezzy?

i think that at one point they were rebadged.

for maybe one season. this may not be the case anymore. i don't know

but i do have rebadged powerex mast here so powerex definately do rebadge. but they look exactly like the originals ecept the badge. same weave, reinforcing etc.

Ezzy masts are made by No Limitz and are grey in colour with coloured graphics. The original black Ezzy skinnys with white graphics were made by Powerex, I broke a few of these. The rate of warranty returns on the new skinnys is apparently way lower than the old black ones made by Powerex. Not sure of the construction difference but I reckon the grey Ezzys made by No Limitz are the go, Ive had my 370, 400 and 430 for 3 years, a few major wipeouts but still going strong.

ok, colour aside, have the latest models ezzy and powerex got the same flex and dimensions?
I remember being surprised that my new 400 powerex top sliding straight into an older 400 black ezzy bottom, so I thought thats pretty close. I think the base diameter of both masts are similar - need someone who can check that?

The main thing would be the flex specs etc. ...eg. you cant put a neilpryde on a powerex or ezzy skinny, but the ezzy wave sails might go on the powerex and the severnes s1's and radiators might go on the ezzy skinny. Someone with the technical details might know?

I think I saw a 'mast special' testing flex etc. in a mate's latest 'Windsurfing' mag last weekend?

hey haircut, turn your mast up the other way. then the ferrule is in the bottom bit.

that's the problem with skinny's. can't tell which way is up.

Hi Mark,

The Ezzy masts would go pretty good in our sails. Either the Powerex version or NoLimitz - both have similar curves.
The important thing is that the mast isn't too flexy at the tip / stiff in the middle. That gives the rig a very on/off twitchy feel, and much smaller wind range.

The website is going through a major overhaul right now. The new wave sail site will be up next week - check that out and let us know if you spot any problems with it.
