YES!

Man it's getting pretty bad eh.

I was checking out the tweed river around Chinderah yesterday, it looks like it might be OK in a southerly... I've sailed it once on my big old aircraft carrier, never on the Flow though.

So where to? I was thinking of trying Cudgen lake seeing as how it's a northerly, or perhaps the golf course?

the tides back to front in the arvo at the golf course, but perfect at shearwater for the arvo. Oatland avenue is probably the spot to go at the shearwater.

Conditions are tiny in the surf, you wan't to go out at Kirra? It should be good and is already 12knots there. You won't have any problems sailing there today as it will be like the size of redcliffe

Nebbian - Usually somewhere near the north Kirra surf lifesaving club. Lots of grass around. If the wind does go directly NE it usually drops at kirra unless its a 20knot breeze to begin with, and then the train/shearwater is usually much better. This time of year i'd doubt it would go ne, but just never know hey

Great day,

Met some of the local crew, glad to get out in the big bad blue Pacific ocean!

Unfortunately I put my knee through the bottom panel of my best sail though

Apart from that conditions were great, had no problems staying upwind with that big fin. Even caught a couple of waves back in to shore!

Looks like I've got a new spot when the wind's Northerly

Yep Kirra. About half a dozen windsurfers out, maybe three or four kiters, wind was a reasonably steady 12-15 knots. It was the right direction to go from North Kirra SLSC all the way across the bay to Rainbow Bay and a bit further north (is it called Snapper?).

One windsurfer had a bit of a run-in with a fisherman, he went skating past close to shore and hit the fisherman's line... he then stopped and 'had a discussion' with the fisherman. Quite funny to watch the hand signals
Then about half an hour later a kiter hit the same fisherman's line, but completely didn't stop or do anything... I'd be worried about fishing line cutting through my leg but he didn't seem to notice.

I don't know the circumstances surrounding this, but I know fishermen have the right to fish where ever they wish to.

However, with about 15-20 kiters and just under 8 windsurfers all flying along at wello, having a guy either stand in about thigh deep water fishing where we were all orignially kiting/ sailing (which would have scared most of the fish away anyway), seems dangerous and pointless in the fishermens pov. ? Does it not?

What ever floats your boat I guess... Just as long as it's safe, not intruding or overtaking what the first group of people were orignially doing, and as long as everyones sensible!
Goodwinds for tomorrow arvy
