Gotta ask though, how did you manage to leave "all" your kit behind?

You left your entire kit?? At what point did you notice it was missing??

36 years ago when I was a younger man living in NZ left a brand new surfboard behind at Piha (west coast just out of Auckland)
mind you that was after a full on surf session, a bottle of red wine and a very "romantic " siesta with the new girlfriend in the back of the kombi........
drove back ..took an hour but no sign of it.

distraction canbe an expensive exercise
