after many months of development & testing, I finally managed to finish and publish my iPhone/ iPad app.

actually storing boom and mast base settings on my phone would be very handy simply because I'm a spaz at remembering that stuff. Gimme a break I'm a geriatric old vegetable you know.

yes and no. Which screw do you need to fix the 10 fins on your 5 boards? I always used to pick 3 wrong ones before finding the right one. Where do you place the harness lines? What's the best height for the boom for your body height? This is not written on the sail.
And if you don't use all the gear from the same manufacturer, the length you need to set it may be a little bit different from what's written on your sail.
I also had a boom where all the numbers were washed off/ not readable anymore. I now document the number of holes which need to stay visible when set at the right length.
Small tricks for an ageing memory...

If you don't know which of your 10 fins to put in which of you r 5 boards you probably shouldn't have 5 boards and 10 fins. If you don't know how tall you are in relation to your boom height an app certainly ain't going to save you.

the trick is that the nomenclature for the stuff we use is somewhat fuzzy:
you take a board, fit a fin into it and you still call it a board. Take the board and your rig and go on the water: you surf on your board...

I had to create some new notations:
It's evident that a "Rig" = "Sail' + "Mast" + "Boom" + "Extension".
In AWS, a "Board" is a naked board.
a "Surf" (short for surfboard) is a "Board" + "Fin".. As you probably have several fins which you use with the same board, you will have several (AWS-)"Surf".
A "Windsurf" = "Surf' + "Rig".
As you can fit different "Rigs" on your "Surfs', you end up with many "Windsurfs".

A "Session" should be clear to everybody. You combine a "Windsurf", a "Spot" and some wind conditions...

if you have a better nomenclature, I would be glad to use it.
