Recently purchased DP F-Race 130 for light winds up to 20 knots. The fin box is a deep Tuttle box. Historically, I have used MFC Liquid Pro as my go to fin of choice for open water riding. Plan to use 7.5m sail. Any guidance on fin selection and length would be appreciated.

F-race looks like a detuned and more user friendly slalom board, so designed to go fast in a straight line. I would probably get a straight fin, rather than a curved one. Regarding the size the basic formula is: Fins size = Sail size x 5 + 4. So in your case probably around 41-42

I have a Severne Fox, which is I think is similar freerace kins of a board. I have used it with three different fins all same size. The Liquid pro did not feel great - the board was too lively, kept spinning out, the stock straight fin was better, but I still wasn't happy, so ended up getting a Tribal Powermax - it was by far the best one out of the three

Try a tectonics Raptor or Phoenix in your fox, they work great.

I use Tribal carbons in my Patrik FRace & slalom boards. 44 is mint in 150litre and up to 38 in 110 board. Although the patrik 36 race fin was cheap and surprisingly good. Look on the patrik site and there is are a few guide for fins & sail size for given sizes. Tribal also have fin guides for width & volume.

I have an f-race 140. For me it hates curved fins like the Liquid Pro ( which is a good fin but really doesn't suit the board) - I have been really happy using an Atomic Weapon Slalom and a Patrik Slalom fin with it. Both are G-10 and well priced. Living near lots of sharp reef and rock there is much to be said for the G-10 fins and the performance of both is hard to fault, well at my sailing standard anyway.

And I use a CLSL38 in my FRace 130. Not sure why I didn't say that at the start

I weigh 86 kg. What size fin would you recommend with a 7.5m cambered sail on the DP F-race 130? I like the ability to load up the back foot and point high into the wind when going up the coastline.
Thanks
Gregg
