i have been surfing a while and never had an issue with breaking boards.
recently i snapped the nose off a board about 20-30cm from the tip. i thought it was just unlucky. i didnt hit the bottom so i dont understand how it would have snapped off.
then yesterday whilst the board was in for repair i was surfing on another board and noticed a crease in the fibre glass in exactly the same spot as where the other board snapped. again i had not hit the board or got dumped bad or anything.
can anyone tell me what might be the cause. could it be my front foot is to heavy or too far forward? cheers

How big is the board and how much do you weigh?

Hate to tell you but the nose of a board is prone to snapping and creasing. It sucks and pisses me off whenever it happens to me. Just going over the falls on a sucky wave seems to be enough to crease a board sometimes. It is a bit unlucky, as far as I know the only thing you can do to keep your board in pristine condition is to leave it at home.
