Seen the thread on telo lodge and am requesting brains trust a similair answer. Im going to pitstop in october I know I need to get to padang, but what is the cheapest way to get there, do the connecting flights go every day? how many days hours will it take in travel... I will be seeing a travel agent or booking online but if someone has been before ex perth any tricks or methods would be greatly appreciated.

I think you can do Perth to Singapore then Padang. I went Perth, Bali, Jakarta, Padang.
You will get all sizes of waves even when the swell is big, if its small some places are still a consistant 4'.

Airasia Perth to KL, KL to Padang. Depending on arrival/departure times you may need to spend a night at the Tune hotel at the LCCT, all up should cost around $800 including $30 per flight for boards.
