Just have to keep it up, go out as often as possible.

Practice makes perfect. Also surf with crew that are better then you, the challenge make you progress faster.

wellll.......ive jsut recently got a new board :) its a 7,0 mini mal its pure beauty lol,butt was just wondering if anyone had any tips for a sort of beginner person, like how to improve my surfing better any tips at all would be great (Y) will be gud wen i hear from yas :D

Yeah. I've got some tips foy ya.
1: When you start to take your new board out in the surf, see if you can find an uncrowded beach with a little wave. It only needs to be very small for you to learn to surf - about one foot.
That way you can have a bit of fun and learn at the same time.
2: Pack an esky with a nice lunch and have a great time.
3: If you have a boyfriend, make sure he just sits on the beach and looks after you.
4: Exercise regularly, that way you won't get cramp like me.
5: Its a good idea before you try to catch a wave, to just paddle around and get used to the board. Learn to turn it around in the water. Do things like , just swim up to it and get on it. Just get used to the feel of the board.
6. Watch other surfers. You can learn a lot by just watching how they manouver thier boards and how they handle themselves in the surf.
7. Don't take any unecessary risks. Surfing is a lot of fun, but do take care.

Catch as many waves as you can so you improve quicker, go to places where theres not too many people, go to small, safe spots whenever possible, keep trying coz its not that easy but when you get ok, its heaps of fun, worth all the effort thats for sure....best of luck Skye and if you arent that good, at least look hot while you are trying, thats what I reckon.....
