Well Im usually pretty generous with sharing waves around and it seems to come back to me. I only give 2 chances per person for genuine drop ins then ya can expect to get faded big time! Surfing is about having fun and sharing great times with other surfers. I aint got any time for this local bulls*%t that goes on. If ur a great surfer and can inspire other surfers with a crazy hack or somthing then you will never have any problems with localls as long as ya respect the people that do surf the place everyday and remember that every1 has to put up with the "weekend warriors".
If ur having fun who cares..........

I agree localism and harrassment shows your a kook. treat other surfers the way you want to be treated. However I think its getting to be an every man for him self world with people outing spots to boost thier ego in surf reports and tow-ins bombing the waves on pristine days, thats progess.

This one cracked me up
From the "how to spot a kook" archive, sadly it reminds me of ME
quote:
The Dog: An old favourite - this one is a real crowd pleaser and will rank highly on any clap-o-meter! Rarely seen nowadays due to surf schools. It basically involves the rider, slowly climbing up onto the board on all fours like a dog! Seeing a surfer taking the drop whilst on all fours and then riding the face is something very special indeed and should be on every surfers 'to do' list!

i found this too lololololol
The word "kook" is one of the most hurtful words in surfing. To be called a "kook" means that you can't surf well, have a terrible style, talk trash, or even snake your fellow surfers. Maybe you do all these things at once.
