Mate - G-land is awesome especially given the relative ease in getting there and price. I went for 3 weeks in August 2004 and I got some sick waves, met some good crew and snapped two of my 3 boards.
Being a natural I still wonder whether the goofies get bored of getting that many pits.
Going overland isnt as bad on the way there because its overnight, however it is quite an experience particularly waking up in the fishing village to the call to prayer at 5am. Last time I went I went overland there and caught a boat back as there were a few perth lads who were doing it so I caught a ride with them.
I like Bobbys camp as well although the others are fine. If you go overland with Bobbies try and avoid the old driver with the dot on his forehead as he kept nearly falling asleep at the wheel.
