Best boards ever is small surf. Worst board ever in anything over shoulder high surf - unless ur name is Tom Curren.

They are really fast in small surf and on fat faces. They dont work well in the barrel cause the rails are often too boxy and round- they slide down the face where ur thruster will drive and create speed.

They paddle like a mini mal but you turn them like you would ur thruster.

They are soo fast busting down a long point wave (as long as its not too big)

Here's my 2 cents...

About 2 years ago i bought a cheap crappy import epoxy fish. i've surfed it heaps and love it. Although it doesnt really turn at all, it paddles soo easily and has heaps of speed.

Problem is its making me a lazy surfer. After a few recent surfs on my old faithfull, I've noticed i was struggling a bit to catch waves. LAZY.. I was expecting so much more paddle power and ease of getting speed out of it and it just wasnt there.

I've put it away now vowing only to get it out when its waist high or smaller!

What do you guys all reckon?
