Anyone have any experience riding one of these, thinking about purchase for a small wave board

just unsure about durabilty and performance of these boards ? cost ? overall benefits ?

size to consider, type of waves I could surf ?

my weight 80kg

Had a couple of carbon rails, take a little getting used to, they feel a bit stiffer than standard boards, more a fast flex in the board i suppose. durability, had one for last year and a half, very durable, snapped another after 3 weeks, wrong place, wrong time.Size wise, just ur normal board size. The carbon rails make the boards flex and snap back faster so are pretty good for generating speed, cons, when u hit ur head on a rail it feels like you've been clipped with a hammer. Not a great deal different from a standard board but is just a different feel, some people like them, some dont.

Barndog is pretty spot on, they do feel more rigid and less flexy but it can depend on overall constuction too. I am currently doing one with carbon-kevlar rail bands but the blank is a PU with no stringer, have used the carbon to add strength and reduce the flex but am unsure how it'll feel compared to a standard PU-PE board. It is also a diff shape, its almost a wizard sleeve type shape that I did for myself, just looking for something super fun and lively in the small and gutless beachies.. Hoping to ride it soon and will try to remeber to post info.....oh yeah and using epoxy as you have to, to get any strength from the carbon....
