Thats a bit of ova kill there mate I recon. Next time I go Im only taking one board, like a 6,6 rounded pin. Even when its small that will do & unless the swell gets massive u wont need anything bigger.

I usually take my standard 6'3 rounded pin and a 6'7 semi gun.
I also would'nt rule out anything 2.5 thick coming home in one piece. You'd be surprised

Hi Rik,

In August there's a fair chance it will be pumping and offshore. Peak Dry season. Take em all if ya can..there wouldn't be anything worse than watching from the beach whilst it's goin' off. If it is you'd want to be suitably prepared for the waves that pack a wallop. Start training man......

Hey Paul
That,s what i was thinking , I surf pretty well every one of the boards mentioned on my local beaches and point breaks but just tring to narrow it down to the 2 boards . I guess @ 46 i will have tobe a bit on the wing , but hope to still pull into a few
cheers

Geuss it takes about 45ish. Dreamland has been seriously transformed now with the new resort there. Stoked the waves are still the same, maybe a little more crowded these days

I reckon you'd be fine with the 6'4. Both times I've been in August, I've predominantly surfed my round-tail 6'4 19".

A nice fast fish would be fun at Kuta...

Biggest board I take is a 6'6, 18 3/4 pintail with some tail vee. If it's too big to surf on a 6'6, I don't really want to be out there Plenty of other spots to surf when Ulus pushes 8ft. Airports, etc.

yea DL u r onto it, thats the way Im working on the 2 board theory atm. Altho, I was there in 2007 early sept, standing in the car park with a 6,3 @ dreamland and watching 12 ft sets pound through the place. Not that u would catch me out there when its that big!!! 6,2 & 6,6 square on the shorti & round pin on the SG..

i would take a rounded square semi concave 6'4 and a 7'4 rounded pin, if only for the extra paddling power.
