was watching a guy surf some tiny waves the other day on a board that was around 6ft but fairly thickish in rails .... plus i think he only had single fin.. would this be an old design board or some kind of new skool fish shape ?? it gave him some cruisy rides with what seemed like bugger all effort any ideas on what type board this could be

Yeah sounds like a Fish. I have been riding a knew school type which goes very well in all kinds of Surf. So well I brought a smaller one.

i have just invested in one of the stedman spider boards with the hard rails(just like a chamfered edge) which makes it thick til the rail and is quite wide aswell. Takes off fast no stall on take off reasonably quick through turns but ur foot has to be far back. these boards get goin in small swells like knee high ya can get movin.
all round good board but the glass seems to be a bit thin dings pretty easy
