Just out of curiosity, does the artificial reef at cables ever actually go off??

Whenever I've driven past there never seems to be anything happening. Cables itself only happened a few times a year and I thought the artificial reef was supposed to make it work regularly.

Hey Grumps,

It does work, and when it does it fires, fast barralling spitting little wave. I totally rate it when it works.
IMO only works a handful of times per year.

best wave in metro when going
most fickle too

in my experience needs 1.2-1.3m cottesloe swell to really get going, and that doesnt happen often

it can surprise with its wave but dont hold your breath, especially the way this winter is panning out

yeh got it a bout 2weeks ago for one morning full stand up over the head prefect barrels only had to share it with 50 of my closest mates
