At war with the wife at the moment, she wants my boards out of the house and into the garage. I'm concerned about the heat as it gets pretty warm in there don't want my boards to get ruined/ delam ect.

I have a rack system down the side of the house, but keep my everyday boards in the house. Sadly yes its a daily argument, especially when the cleaner comes over and then she whinges also..

Delamination extremely unlikely in a decent garage. It needs to get bloody hot to be a problem.

What you blokes doing dragging boards through the house? Mine spend first night inside then once waxed they're out to the garage.

Racks on two walls and ceiling racks hold 27 short boards in garage. Boards go out of the car into the racks. Why drag them through the house and risk denting the walls or worse, dinging your board.

Yep , my Mrs is a cleaning Nazi but yet she has all this random crap in random places. After much squinting and scratching my head I gave her our "JUNKROOM".
Rather than keep them out in the shed - sadly my boards live in there too.

(Just went in there to take a photo but the door would only open 30 degrees and I chickened out with embarrassment )

This is the current setup, which apparently must be relocated to the shed. I had thought of under the spare bed mitchbat but that would only be a temporary solution as the spare bed is also getting ditched. Was contemplating the linen closet but if you guys keep your boards in sheds and the heat is ok maybe ill put the rack in the garage if i have to, it gets warm but not really hot (might make the wax soft), was fighting it more so to make a point

MickPC, i thought of saying if they are in the garage i would need to replace them often, but then i'm not sure how i would explain not getting rid of the old ones

I explained that heat will damage mine, thus 5 boards being placed in a temporary space in an a/c room during summer to avoid needing to be replaced due to damage. Even if it is a great big white lie, family doesn't research to find out you're talking crap and it's piece of mind in case something does actually happen due to heat. During winter, racks attached to the garage ceiling. No excuses getting them out of the house in cool temps.

I made it myself mate- based on same design as cactus rack which you can buy online

Shed. 35 boards. The main 8 or 9 in a rack, the rest in the rafters. No problem.

Surfing them causes more damage than heat. Unsealed dings too.
