Hi

Have been putting it off for a long time, but does anyone have any recommendations for a good surgeon for a knee re-construction in Perth.

Have searched the forum, but one really mentioned names.

Posted also in Windsurfing WA just cover the bases

Cheers

I had an ankle reconstruction by Mr Soo Tee Lim. Seemingly, he is a very highly regarded orthopaedic surgeon...

Have also been to him for my back (crushed vertebrae) and a badly broken hand. For the last two he used custom splits/braces to reset the bones in postion rather than surgery.

He has rooms in Leederville, 9381 2818 and Joondalup, 9301 2140.

Might be worth trying to call the AFL clubs over there ?
They might be able to help ??
What ever happens hope it all goes well, The missus had one about 10 years ago and they stuffed it, She has never been able to jog or run since

Get a referral to see Greg Hogan at Perth Orthopaedic Centre on Outram Street Perth. He specialises in Shoulder and Knee reconstructive surgery and is also and orthopaedic consultant for the Western Force and West Coast Eagles.

He did my knee a couple of years ago and was fantastic. He's a young aussie bloke too and was very easy to get along with.

Agreed - and that's not even half of it... I've had three seperate cycling incidents involving cars - plus a couple with only myself to blame.

I did the ankle surfing though...

When you are 10-12yo you seem to bounce and end up with only a graze... When you are 30+ you seem to land harder and bones tend to break...(particularly if a car is involved)... well that's what I have found

Thanks for that, two that were recommended were Greg Witherow & Keith Holt

It's going to suck not being in the water.

S##t GPA you've been through the wars

Hi photosbykarlo
My wife was reffered to Greg Witherow after she fell off her horse and stuffed up her kne big time. She thought he was brilliant and saved her a lot of pain and ongoing problems with his advice.
Hope this is useful, good luck

Thanks, I think I have the right two.

Just have to see what they say and then do the deed.
