OK,
After a recent "trial" the new rules are here to stay....

Points to note:

Tower AND surfer must have a Recreational Skippers Ticket
Tow surfers must give way to ALL other water users
Tow surfers must maintain 200 metres distance from all other water users

About time too. 200m from anyone else in the water including paddling surfers. No more bogans towing into 2 foot slop at my local beachy. All it takes is a photo from anyone and DPI can prosecute. Maybe then they might think twice before they start towing through the line up

Does it apply to general jetski knobbery also? Like people jetskiing in amongst waves where people are surfing?

Well next lanno trip Im takin my 200mm lens, last time I was up at backbeach there was three buzzing about giving people the sh!ts!!
