Hi all

Picking up my Tomo Evo, I have a quad / 5 fin set up I think should work but am also keen to get a tri set-up.

Anyone got any recommendations/ thoughts? I'm about 87kg and am getting the 5'10"
Cheers!!

AM2's work well in mine. I like lots of rake.

I like the Kinetic Phase 3's in mine....they are pretty much my go to thruster set...my advise is don't over fin it even though its probably a lot shorter board than your used to

+1 on the Futures AM2s (based on the Nano though, I have not used the Evo).

Ok I went home and found I have AM2's in tech flex and honey comb. Both larges though..

For smaller waves would I be correct to think smaller maybe medium fins would be better, ie less drag

Bigger equals more drive in small waves...which is a good thing....in my world it is

Okay thanks, i don't know why but i always tend to go smaller fins in smaller surf. Turns out I'm doing it wrong..

If you have a big arse tail on your board you need a lot of fin due to the surface area - if it's a nice small refined tail - then smaller fins. That's the Nick Carroll general rule of thumb - seems to work well for me. My guns have small fins and my Evo, nano and Vader bigger fins.
