I'm thinking of going to Terrigal over Christmas just wondering if the surf there is any good???

Its no secret that there are loads of waves around there that work in almost all conditions except an SE or E wind. I would think you need a car though to make the most of it. Its a fun place - almost like a mini Manly (in Sydney). It is also close to another town which is the home of short skirts - Gosford which is just south of The Entrance.

Terrigal Haven in a big southerly swell will test you but you will have to wait for winter.
Like Ted said its a lot like Manly these days I would avoid it in Christmas school Hols. There are heaps better options an hour or 2 North IMO but it depends what your chasing.

Terrigal pub is good fun to, especially if your a young bloke

or girl.

As for waves heaps of nice little spots. But boofy is right avoid the holiday times.

hi south of terrigal has some of the best waves on the coast ,this a a short viedo of Wade from Avoca surfing the 3 beaches south of terrigal ,avoca north and south ,the shark tower avoca,macs and copa , little beach

Good area for surf... Plenty of quality beachies and reefs around. Compared to Vic you will find the water like a bath, just watch the blue bottles.
