Is it just me or are some of the forecast sites becoming notoriously unreliable? It's been flat in Perth for near on 3 weeks yet magic seaweed is saying its currently 5.5ft at Trigg Point, so i guess that explains the crowd:

MSW is also predicting a 10 Foot plus swell for Sunday arvo, I wonder if Garrett Mac and Dorian are flying in...

Find this one pretty much bang on;
www.buoyweather.com/wxnav6.jsp?program=nww3BW1&grb=nww3®ion=AW&latitude=-32.5&longitude=115.5&zone=8&units=m
Seabreeze is pretty good too, but i find its wind forevasts sketchy sometimes. Both sites show swell size which is basically Rotto swell and I infer local size from experience.

You go to be joking. Worst surf website ever. Surf report inaccurate and updated every week or so and the rest of the site updated about every 4- 5 years.

haha, the guys doing the reports (when they are actually updated) on SRO are the most negative, grumpiest f%ckers ever. I can't recall them ever having a positive report for the metro area.

the swell buoy link is useful though.

I love those surf forecasting websites, especially cos they are wildly innacurate!

Yeah but we need something. Often for me its not the long drive to find nothing thats so bad, its the driving, finding nothing and then having to explain how i wasted a morning, waking up the wife for no BLOODY reason..

I wish someone could tell me where the epic waves are going to be. I can't work it out for myself. Meteorological charts are so confusing.

Look for the raw facts and put the pieces together I reckon

Sometimes still get skunked but not nearly as often..

seabreeze for forecast, and dot for live swell are enough for me... Maybe go for MSW if I'm travelling.

Ditto, can't beat a drive down to the beach sometimes, especially around now-winter.
