I've seen guys paddle out to reefs there. Took em a good 30-40 minutes.

Way too far for me I paddle through open water

did it once in thick fog, got a glimpse of Hole in The (woops red thumbs cant reveal "secret" spots that everyone knows about) and as we started paddling fog rolled in....long story cut short.....thank F%^%$K for crayboat and alert skipper as Madagasca was our next stop!!!!!

30min paddle out...2-3hours surf...paddle in NO FUN land seems to paddle backwards

Same Mocha, used to do it a lot when I was young, dumb and fulla.....
fitness.
Mind you the waves were empty then too. Hole is a hole now and a well populated one at that.

looks to be pretty good waves compared to the back beach, Guess it would be wise to invest in a tinny do a bita fishing on the way in for some free dinner!

Anyone know the situation on the access to the wedge from lancelin? heard many different reports as to it being shut now the road is there and the beach being un passable in winter?

If you like paddeling and hanging with sharks maybe try the reefs at the back of wedge island. You dont see to many blokes out there.

There's nothing to see behind WI ,there's no such thing as surf at offshore reefs and each reef has a resident White.

Let us know how you go, that's if you come back alive. Watch out! They are following the whales heading north
