I remember a topic a while back on this, but buggered if I can find it now. Sorry to repeat it. Does anyone have any recommendations for good softboards to get young'uns started (~5yo)? Ideally even something dad might be able to get a few waves on, but that bits not a big consideration - more important is that it's something they can enjoy and progress on. Thanks!

Bro I just bought a G Board...its was a bit exxy at around 400 bucks but the hold there value and you generally struggle to buy a second handy for under 250-300...I have two kids so I know we will get the use out of it...they are aussie made and the quailty ****s all over most other short boards

Thanks all, appreciate the responses.

And thanks Boothie - I did manage to find that recent softboards thread (www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Surfing/Shortboards/Softboardfoamy/), but seem to recall one in the last few months specifically about softies for little kids. Maybe I'm dreamin'.

Anyway, plenty here to keep me going. Thanks!
