Gday crew, was wondering if anyone has a radiator rashie.. Do they work well under a steamer and are they worth the xtra money or am i better of just saving my money and buying some beer or other essential items?

My mate has one.He only got 3 surfs out of it before the batteries wouldn't hold a charge. He tryed to get his $ back but they replaced it instead. This one is going ok,he recons it's like pissing in your wetty but stays warm for 2 hours.Your gota be careful of the batteries ,they're right near the kidney area and if you fall on them ouchie mumma. We all gave him stick when he first got it for being a big pussy but he was the one laughing the other day when the water temp got to 14deg.

I assume you are talking about these:

I think they work ok. I have become a fan of Radiator wetsuits. They are cheap but effective.

I used to wear a 4/3 Rip Curl Fireskin. Last winter I wore my Radiator 3/2 with the rashie all winter. So yes, I think they work.

The only criticism of the Radiator wetsuits is the zip and closure system is a bit basic. Rip Curl zips are much more resistant to flush through.

I wore a short sleeve Radiator rashie under my 3x2 Ripcurl core fireskin this winter, did the job nicely except for two small criticism's, firstly i had to get the sleeve ends resewn as they rolled up as you pulled your arms through your wettie and also due to the silver lining inside the rashie i sometimes slid around in my wettie but it did the job for warmth.

I have gone from a Radiator to one of these.
Warm and comfy under a wettie.
The clubbies who do the Jetski patrols at Scabs all use them

Ive got a radiator rashy. Lasted me 3 years and still going strong. I kitesurf and surf in it. Keeps you warm and keeps the sun off you.

+1 on the Radiators, best thing since surfing was invented !

I use it for kiting , surfing, and scuba diving.
