G'day - 112kg riding a 7S SuperFish XL v2 in epoxy at 7'3" as a quad... I had the V1 of this board in PU, and I was running a large set of Simon Anderson Performance Cores (S2) and it went really well.

I transferred them over to the epoxy V2 and it was terrible - the board just wanted to skip and skate all the time.... put the basic beige placky FCS fins back in and it goes MUCH better... obviously the S2's were too stiff for a stiff board.

105kg riding JS Kingpin 6'6", I use K3's in the front and standard GX fronts as trailers (not sure which construction they are). I haven't put much science into this, I ride the K3's as thruster set and bought the Gx's as they'd give me something to try with other fins I have before I went for a genuine quad set (G5, G7 and a couple of others), tried it, liked it and since you can't get this arrangement decided to keep it.

Ran the Mick fannings up the front and the TC redlines at the back...seems to get a better result...definatly more drive but still seems quite loose off the top..

I would have recommended this kind of area in your fins at your size.

People think small fins make a board loose, going fast and feeling confident to drive from the rail and tail makes you go fast and all fast boards are loose.

Another tip is don't be afraid to match the front and back fin sizes. I used M3's front and back all side fins for ages. Felt amazing, balanced like a thruster with more speed, hold and stability.
