Once you get into October prices come down big time. We used to spend 2 weeks there every year mid to late October and got winter rates - well under 1/2 price. I have not been there for 6 yrs but the town used to almost go into shutdown once the end of Sept passed. Which is great as thats when the wave start to roll in. I tried to use Google streetview to find the place we used to stay but couldn't see it.

Loads of good waves all around that area. I you decide to head into Spain make sure you stay on yr side of the road as some of those coastal roads are very very narrow with steep cliffs falling away on the ocean side. Lots of accidents around those parts of the Basque country.

if your using magicseaweed for the swell predictions take about 1/2-1/3 off the prediction and that is actually what it will be, when comparing to Australian waves.

are you taking your own boards or are you going to hire? It is very expensive to hire boards so its cheaper to just buy a second hand board then sell it again before you leave

I stayed at the camp ground "fontain la board" in anglet ten minutes north of baritz. I'm not sur if it's still open. There is a caravan park in baritz but it is not that close to the coast. I never made it to hosseger so I'm not sure
