Definatly not mate !

I did a few seasons with Contatio boardriders a few years back. Sure there was the compettitive streak there but not everyone surfed like Kelly . From my experience it was all about a bunch of boys getting together , surfing , playin up , having fun and doing the things that they enjoy as a group.
There can be alot of arrogant egomaniacs in board riders clubs , but I could reccomend CBR!!!

Wavewalkers Longboard Club are based around the Scarborough area and are a good bunch with a real emphasis on the non-competitive side. We have four clubs comps each year but these are just a good day on the beach with big tent, BBQ etc. Have a number of weekends away including Denmark, Yallingup and Dongara and other things throughout the year.

The old boys down this way are a good bunch, we have a Longboard division with about 8-9 comps a year. There's no Harley Ingleby's in this group, but we give it a fair bash.

Even though the club has been around a few years now, the club is really starting to build a solid membership base, being family orientated and with its core focus on the grommets.

We have a some great sponsors with some really good prizes on offer from comp to comp and also end of year.
