I've got a birthday coming up and In laws are looking for gift ideas. So my question is (especially for WA North of Perth) does anyone use Swellnet Pro or or Coastwatch Plus and if so is it any use

Any other options i could be looking at

Thanks

Have been using Wisuki ap on my phone for the past few months. Finding it very comprehensive - but more importantly - its data is more accurate than most. You can get a free trial - so check it out...

I snaffled a fantastic surf with only five blokes out last week because I drive down for a look. The forecast and the buoy readings looked fully dodgy, but the joint was as good as it gets because of the westerly swell direction.
Anyway, I have used a mates buoyweather account. It was the most accurate site by a long way. Unfortunately I find seabreeze quite marginal and take these forecasts with a grain of salt.

Absolutely agree. (A kilo bag of salt though!) I certainly try and get a general idea of whats happening via these aps and sites...but half an hours drive to one of my local breaks is all it takes... So I often head off, fully expecting to turn around and go back for an early breakfast....cause Seabreeze or some other source says its crap, only to find superb conditions and often one of the best sessions of the week!

On a tangent, I heard a surf report on the radio for the first time in decades the other day. What a load of crap. "Oh there's great waves down here today....". It was nigh on flat.

I guess I'm just looking for interesting stuff, that maybe you don't get on the standard site. The In laws like to get me subscriptions.

I don't garden, but i already get that, They get a few surf mags which are great, but last year it was Nat Geographic. Looking for something i could use or read this year

I was just looking if anyone had used them locally thats all.. thanks

Did they try and hype it up with an overexcited 16 year old fm radio voice
