Swell's done. Here I am.
Bottom line is Outer Reef Surfers have to jointly own thier own club boat.
Already it doesn't look like any boat owner or even a surfer / boat owner is going to want to taxi surfers out to off shore reefs - fuel costs paid for or not. Understandably.
I got some prices on boats. An Aluminium tinny with 10hp out board costs about $4,000.
Divide that between 8 members = $500 each.
Or any ideas " fund raising events " as per gigs, quiz nights, surf comps, bank robberies, drug deals etc. ...

I went up to Lancelin yesterday and on the way back South I did a bit of exploring
driving down some tracks.
I saw some really good spots but only accesable by boat.
If the club doesn't happen,I have a small dinghy with a 2.5 outboard
that can get a bit of the way off shore safely and I paddle the rest. Mostly I use it only for Hole in the Wall at Lancelin where there is safe flat sheltered water to anchor in, inside the reef
but it can only fit two at the most.
If anyone would like to accompany me next time the swell's right , you're welcome.
