Super cute dog!

I like to test potential dog names by seeing if they sound alright yelling them at the top if your lungs. Like you do when you call them at the park or beach

HaHa, looks a bit like guinea pig. How about "Seal", always considered them the dogs of the ocean, maybe Flipper.

Good short 1 or 2 syllables are best for dogs - easy to call them

It's not surfing related but what about Cal? (Play on name of heel bone and heeler) and its original

I like Legrope - shortened to "Leggy" would be a cool name!

As is the case with every oz name it needs to be transferable with a good nick name as it is going to get shortened no matter what you do

Be careful once it turns red. You may get the old:

"Hey mate, your dog's on fire".

What about:

- Heinz (as in the sauce)
- Nut (shortened from bloodnut)
- on the rust theme - Ferris (from ferrous oxide)
- Ranga (or has that been said?) ...

And I think the best one of all (but will only work if you are getting a bitch) ....
....
