A video that might interest you, the Eisbach Wave riders in Munich, standing waves for experienced and apprentice surfers.

I surfed Habitat 67 regularly, when I was living and working in Montreal recently.

I was pleasantly surprised by its quality and consistency.

Standing waves take a little while to adjust, but are heaps of fun once you get them wired.

How do these guys share waves!?
It'd be like a line waiting for krispy cremes when they opened in Perth the other day!

I've had a crack at this place many years ago. we were eating a place near there and this Canadian guy was tell us about surfing in a river, thinking it was bull until I saw this guy float by with a surfboard. Ran over saw what they were doing, had to have go.

Asked if I could give it ago, they gave me a wettie and a board, wasn't my finest hour, it does take some getting use to. Still, wipeout out in river - check that off the list
