Just read that Mick is donating a sizeable amount of money towards Matt Lee the bodyboarder who was attacked by
a shark at Ballina recently.Mick is a true champion in every sense of the word.We need more people like him in our world?..

Each to their own, but....$75,000 donation (his appearance money) is a hell of a lot of money to give away. I feel your pain for Mick burning you crispy, but it's nothing compared to the pain that matt ( the bodyboarder attacked by the shark ) is going through. The donation is mega generous. As far as sponsorship and product placement go....... Get used to it. Without it there wouldn't be pro surfing beamed live, and nearly every major sport would collapse. I think Mick and Julian were thrust into it when they arrived back in Oz after J-Bay. It's can be a struggle for some after these shark events. We have a lot of crew around here, whose lives have changed... Survivors, rescuers, witnesses, friends of victims. It's a matter of perspective.
