Hi all,
I found the previous post on M8R8 surfboards, but am after some further info - first-hand if possible.
I'm seriously thinking of buying their 8'6" (after I sell my Cab SB2, FLX32 & Cab harness), however when I googled "M8R8", I came across a review of some guy in the states saying that the glassing on the 9'6" he bought was very weak and ended up shattering! :O
If you own (or have ridden) a M8R8 board, can you please comment on build quality? (Or just your experience with the boards in general?)

M8R8 Surfboards - I bought one of the 8'6" mailbu's from the internet about 3 months ago. It came to the house by courier and was unpacked in front of me, as expected it was in perfect condition and from the outset looked like the real deal. Being that I am a mature learning surfer, I am enjoying the board and what it has to offer. However I have not yet been smashed by monster surf or really tested the board in harsh conditions but it has withstood everything that a learner can put it through. The carpark at the local beach is where I have found that many other riders comment on the board being a nice looking board with a great shape.
When all else fails I paid $410 for a 8'6" mal delivered across the country to my door. This represents great value for money and I am more than happy with the baord and my development on it as an older yet learning surfer.

I ended up buying a clean-looking M8R8 8'0" PU (not epoxy) mini-mal with a thruster set-up and took the board for a surf today in small, but super-clean conditions on the Sunny Coast.
I'm absolutely stoked with how it went!
Best $320 I've ever spent!!! I only wish I'd done it years ago! I caught sooo many waves today!
