Thinking of buying a lib tech surfboard anybody have any information on these boards they look really strong and they seem to surf pretty good on videos.

Is that the snowboard company? Because in the late 90's all Lib Tech snowboards fell to pieces when I worked in the snowboard industry then, and I vowed I would never buy a Lib Tech anything...

Videos never lie. You should buy one and report back with your findings

i've got a buddy with one Pinkdog (only one i have actually ever seen in the flesh. he brought it back from a Canada work trip to see if it would stand up to kiting as well).
can't recall specifics on it - so will ask his thoughts and report back.

My cousin has the first and possibly only one in wa. I've seen it in the flesh and it looks epic. He reckons it's a weapon, I'm yet to have a go.

A quick bump for pink dog.
Old mate is overseas for work but will post up details if he remembers between flights.
Long story short, has been snapped (surfing not kiting), was a good ride for a time, but is not a holy grail.

Reference the Libtech surfboards, I am the owner (as mentioned by Dickodee above), I am the owner of a Lost Puddle Jumper Libtech at 34 litres volume which I have owned for about 2 months. So far the construction is by far the best I have ever seen. Unless it degrades with time, this is a board that will last 10 years easy. If you try to knuckle punch a pressure ding in it, your knuckle will break long before the glass does. Best of all, it flexes exactly the same as a PU board, can't tell the difference. Still undecided on the shape, the testing continues. I notice in the above post that Mazdons buddy snapped his, would love to hear the circumstances.

Mate my cousin has one, first one in wa. Hes had it a few months now and used it local and overseas (papua) hes raves about it how good it is in small grovling waves and wally point breaks. Ive had a go on it resently to. In the flesh it looks lije a weapon, you could definatly kick ya wife outa bed for it. However I didnt rate it surfwise. I must say it would prob go great in slack waves but the wave I used it on was shallowish ofshore reef break on the ladt pulse we had. I recon on a nice wally point break it would go great. Im aware they have a few models and ifvthey could incorporate that technology/construction into an all round go to short board it could be a game changer. Ps his was the puddle jumper
