Ay Toes, Mate I reckon if your gettin distracted by somone talkin to ya in the line up then possibly your not "in the zone"? I know exactly what ur talkin about here and for me when Im in that place it does'nt matter if or what anybody sez. At the end of the day its all about the conversation your having with yourself inside your own head that creats your own reality! You know the voice, its the one you can hear when your reading this haha.
As for soul surfing goes the times when I can really just let it all go and switch off from the rest of the world and have just sheer fun reguardless of how good your surfing is what surfing is aaall about bro!!! Just relax, go with the flow , loosen up abit and just let those smooth effortless awsome turns onfold beneth ur feet. Ever knotice how you always surf the best when ya dont even think abaut anything, and everything just becomes automatic and natural? When your reflexes are responding from the sheer "moment" (like getting barreled) rather than a descision you made on the spur of the moment!
How cool would it be if all of life was like this!!!!!!
