the only time its gay is when you take a shortboard out when its just too small to get a reasonable ride. then the longboarder pitches up and makes everything look super fun. in the back of your mind you're cursing him, even though you realise you'd be having just as much fun if you didnt see shortboarding as the 'be all, end all'.
