Hi there, Im looking at heading to Hawaii end April... Does the North Shore get any swell at this time of the year, or is it long gone and diamond head side is the GO.

We get the opposite swell season in Torquay... So it's kind of like out October... And October here can be freaking awesome!

No doubt you will get swell. But you might get some flat days mixed in too.

It actually a really smart time to go... Might luck into some uncrowded mid-week session, plus it's an awesome place to chill out otherwise... Swimming, snorkel, kicking back at the beach house... Cheap Steinlarger, and even cheaper Budweiser...

Was there all of april last year. Saw 2 good swells that month. first one was 8 - 10 foot ( hawaiian ) and the second was 12 to 15 foot. The later was towards the end of the month. so you should score.
Sunset was working even at 4 - 5 foot most days but there was only 2 - 4 waves in a set and the sets were around 5 mins apart. In saying that though these were the days ( weekdays ) that only had 6 - 10 guys out, with a mellow vibe in the line up.

You will get waves along the pipe stretch for sure. Even at 3 foot it still packs a bigger punch than a 3 foot beachy on the Sunny Coast.
