need advice on foam boards. 9yr old about to progress to a bigger board. Ours are old and we haven't surfed for 20 years.(motorbike injuries). What does anyone suggest. We are on a tight budget, have noticed boards for about $300, no fins. What are our options, looking to buy around the South Aust. south coast.

Hey, I recommend that you DO NOT buy a foam board! the best board to buy is a PLASTIC (BIC board) yes thats right BIC those guys that make pens... well you should be able to pick up an awesome (brand new) plastic with fibre glass inner, pick one up from a local board shop and they should tell you the price and size and then can order one?? here is a great site where you can take a look at them

I think they are so good that i'm going to buy one for myself (8'4" magnum long board!)
cheers,
