Would be interested to know if anyone has surfed much or know what sort of swell
and conditions you get this time of year on the South Coast of WA.
I am heading down to a camping spot about 100km East of Esperance with my family at the end of next week and i am unsure of what board i should take,short board or mal.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thats not far from GRacetown cyclops island, dont bother with that place unless u have a jetski and big balls!!

It's nowhere near Gracetown [}:)] Bigger balls would not get me out there. It would take a lobotomy I reckon, the crew that surf waves like that are totally nuts, they would have to be the amongst the fittest, most prepared sportsman on the planet.

Anyone who can pull into something like that deserves maximum respect and can only be watched with awe and admiration.

They push the boundaries to new places, in the process what average joes get up to ends up being dragged up a level as well. It's great for the sport.
