Hi All, is this ding repairable? How much effect would it have on performance if it was left? The owner did it by strapping it to a roof rack with no padding!!

Yeah, Doggie. Apparently it's only a couple of weeks old. The bloke must be spewing

Would it be worth a cheeky $100 offer?

Dunno, the crease is in a bad spot. If you could get it for $100 it would be worth it I spose.

A mate had a similar thing happen to his but he left a leggie between two boards, the crease went from tail to tip

Given it's a FireWire, check the condition of the rails as they have parabolic stringers ( ie a lot of the strength from the perimeter wood rails) if the wood is badly fractured have a think about it. I'd offer the cheeky hunge and then if you need to look a the repair in the future do it

Offered him a $100 and he told me to "go f myself and that he wasn't brain f 'd enough for me to rip him off "

I very politely pointed out that he was the muppet who had creased a brand new board and was referring to the crease as a bruise

Apparently he sold it got. $250.

That looks like the rapid fire construction....which is by all reports as week as piss and only requires a pigeon to Fart on it in order to snap. The FST construction is much better. The guy is a bit rich for calling you a muppet for offering 100....I wouldn't pay 20 bucks for that thing.
Firewire are a funny brand....I had a longboard of there's that snapped pretty much straight away for no reason....they replaced it and the replacement is pretty much indestructible. I wonder if they still have quality control issues and therefore the hit and miss strength of their boards?

i don't think someone would buy it if the guy said he did it just duckdiving (that's what really happened imo)

had to come up with "roofrack-strap" story
