Hi all,

Am finally back in the water after quite a while out with injury and lack of time, as a result, am looking at geeting another board to get me paddling again. basically, tossing up between a JS Konfusion 6'0 18 3/4, 2 5/16 (26,5Lts) & another Konfusion - 6'2 x 19 x 2 3/8. At the moment, I'm 5'11 80kg and low on paddle fitness!! A man experienced, advanced surfer out of practice basically.
When paddle fit, my standard is 18 3/4 2 3/8. Am just seeking some help in deciding, whether to get the bigger, safer, probably easier paddling version and lose a touch of snappy turning, or the slightly smaller option and just taking a bit more time to get the shoulders strong again...... anyways, anyone's help/ recommendations, help in stopping me being indecisive would be great!

Paddling only takes a few sessions to get up to speed, if you had the ability and skill before. Easy decision for me.

Does the shop let you test out the boards?

yeah go for a bit more volume you'll be missing waves with 26lt if your just getting back in to it,id go 30-33lt around 6'2/19/2.5 wide point a bit further forward and tail pulled in a bit, you'll catch heaps more waves and the pulled in tail will still be high performance.Im about your hght and weight and surfing close to those dimensions with a rounded pin it goes unreal and paddles like a train-good luck

Thanks a bunch guys, all very handy responses! Was mostly me being indecisive, haha. So, I ended up going with the 6'2,(28.3 litres) but am going to get a Shelley taxi as well, so I'll have most ground covered for now. Still got a great 6'8 pin for when the juice turns on again.

Haha, maybe. Am 35 mate, not quite the spring chicken I was. Going with these dimensions, touch under 30, but seems just right!
Cheers!
