assuming your talking about the shadow that swims across. id say it was a dolphin otherwise that other dolphin that just breached would be hightailing it..

wouldnt it?

I recon there would have been 15-20 dolphins hanging around that day. They were surfing with us

I recon it looks like the tail is flat. haha. Hard to see but i think it looks like it is moving up and down, not side to side.

And if that's where I think it is, had a pretty scary moment a dolphin was cranking towards me in the surf. Man they can look like sharks when they're coming in your direction quickly...thought it was lunch time haha

Yeah feet up, that fin looked vertical to me.

Surprised the guy sitting close didn't see anything.

I think its motion looks to violent and sudden, like a dolphin rather than the slow efficient glide of the other variety..

Gave myself a big fright on the weekend, duckdiving with eyes open saw a large grey something or other swim directly in front of my board in the wave. Immediately caught the next wave in to turn around and see a pod of dolphins arrive.. Phew!

ive had this happen as well. but instead of catching the next wave in a just turned around and froze.. after what seemed like 5 minutes (5 seconds of real time
) i opened my eyes and looked back to see a pod of dolphins.

if a shark comes near me im sure i am a goner!

I've watched it 3 times now and still can't tell. What it does show us however is that if we are on the menu we'll never know till it's too late.
