Wrong sort of "board" thommo!!! The green "boards" in a booga board bag they don't like.

Only take three other wise ya up for $50aus for every one after that!

I agree with Mac. If you look at the reef when ur paddling in to a wave it will only freak you out and you probably either will nosedive, pull back and get caught in the lip, or puss out all together. Best way is just to look down the line and chaarge

A product you could get is the Natural Footed First Aid kit at some surf shops

Hello Spankedagain, The best treatment for coral/reef cuts is a Chinese Red Ointment called Tieh Ta Yao Gin Liniment, i used some on a boat trip in the Mentawai's that another surfer had, it was way better than Betadine. Unfortunately it is very hard to find in Aus but you can buy it on E-bay from the UK or on the Web at martial arts supplies in the US, it used to be in a First Aid Kit for surfers but they no longer make it. If you find it some where in Aus let us know as i would like to get some myself before going to Bali in May, apparently you can get it in Indo but from where i don't know. Hope this info helps, Hoppy.

thommo ooo, is on the money, I have been going to bali since 1975 and have kissed the reef a few times...Tony Elthrington turned me onto hydrogen peroxide and betadine way back then....poor on the peroxide first...it will all fizz up...after the fizzing settles down, dab on the betadine...it may not heal until you get home but it won't get infected.

^^^ yeh slightly different story in Australia, totally different bacteria floating around over there. THere is a high chance even the slighest slit will go all nice and mankey if not treated.
