I'm thinking of buying an epoxy shortboard probably for overhead surf. I rode an epoxy longboard a few years ago and found it lacked the momentum of a fibreglass board. However the durability does appeal to me and ive seen a few short board shapes that look ok (Wayne Lynch, Tom Carrol). If anyone could give me some feedback, advice that would be great! thanks.

Weeeeeell, I love the durability of my Tufflite, But my new used Firewire is fairly dingable. I'm undecided (now that I've seen that the firewire isn't as solid as the tuffy).

All my boards minus my longboards are epoxy (epoxy longboards aren't cheep). I was dinging poly boards too quick (103kg, bull in a china shop surfing metality). Having said that I'm starting to build my own boards and use epoxy anyways.

The tufflights are good but you can still ding, dent and hole them.

Some people in the know say that the tuf lights don't have the same feel as a poly and have a bit of a "dead" feel.

I honestly can't tell the difference but I'm no Kelly Slatter either.
