I like listening to that Asymetrical board shaping dude talk. He makes me feel like I could shape a board. I never felt like I was very good at art, but then I discovered abstract & pastels. I've always considered making boards to be a huge learning curve & really it is...however I think I could make something that's not perfect or balanced that would work on my local where I'm predominately going left on a pretty easy to ride wave (fat). I will one day if I can set something up to greatly minimise the mess. I like how he had his set up sucking the crapola away from the sander so it wasn't dispersed into the air
His twin one side, twinny other..or 2 on one side & single on the other for his asymmetrical boards remind me of my teen years when there were times I'd knock out a side fin on my thruster but didn't have time to get another fin to glass in before the next day...& knowing it was going to be going off, I just made it watertight & headed out. People used to comment on how loose my board was & cracked up when I turned it over to show why
