Went for a early burl on the treadly. The surf is a solid 4_5ft with heaps of push and massive amount of water movement.

I see about 8 girls and 1 bloke on all manner of hire boards, from shorties to longboards and even a foamies.

I.did not really think they would paddle out.....till I watched half of them have a crack. They were getting belted and.dragged down the beach. My girl was freaking and telling me to get down there and talk/help them.

Went down had a word and they told me to pretty much go away. So I put the phone on video.

What puzzled me was how people could be so stupid and arrogant all in one hit. WTF are these hire places thinking?

Would you swim out and rescue them? I'm pretty paddle fit but . Would have struggled by myself to keep in a straight line much to say drag some panicking farkwit out. Rant over but it has blown me away. Here is a pic until I can work out how to upload the vid

Not sure where they hired them Mac. It was like they were all looking at pretty snow and it would be a heap off fun out there. I really did think one of them would drown if they actually got out a bit further.

Good call bro...it looks like a pretty hectic situation and the last thing you want is to go in after some f-wit that didn't listen and put yourself at risk

Had an old bloke in this morning that gets called in by the police for body recoverys in the ocean
Funny how a few of his story's were from similar situations ending in drownings .

Just hope this group copped a hammering and learnt to respect the ocean with no serious injurys .

I dodged a lot of speed bumps.
Last I heard it was called "surfing" not "sitting" but people seem to have heard different.
It's admirable to read of your empathy for the clueless Chrispy.
Did they do their extended warm up and stretching routine before tackling the wild surf?
