Nice post Tux. I have always wanted to have a crack on one of those types of skim boards. Saw a few blokes at Dee Why on them about 5yrs back having a ball. We do not really have any beaches around these parts that provide waves for that type of behaviour though sadly. Well not that I know of. Occasionally opportunities exist but not as a general rule.

I bet these guys get never ending opportunities to impress the girlfriend. It all happens so close. Run down the beach ,jump on ,smash the lip, pull into a barrel and step off onto the sand. "Hello darlin "

We used to give it a crack when I was young but geez you can do some damage....the board just goes flying if you don't get it right and you end up fair on your date

Good way to **** yourself right up.

Few of my mates have had them and let's just say it's funnier to watch then participate..

I thought this thread was going to be about when your done surfing and you are trying to get your undies back on with sand all over your feet. You end up with Sand in your undies amiright???

When we were young the neighbours had a home made skin board - a circle of plywood - we used to skim it down the wet sand at low tide then run after it and jump on. You could get some really great long runs but the moment you hit an edge or dry sand you were off. Not uncommon to finish the session with massive grazes

thanks for re-posting that one JB - its an absolute ripper. That bloke has some serious skill. I loved the bit at 3:22 - its like he is just taking the P155 with not a fear in the world.

Yep, lots of skill and mad as....
Takes some great whippings. No flotation vest either.

There's a clip floating around of him at the right that is pretty good 2.

Has anyone got one of these things?

I was looking at one for a learn to surf board for my nephew? Might even ride it once a while myself
