Jumbo version still doesn't stretch the entire length of my Kenalu Wiki 84 blade (I normally tape all the way to the join). Had to use nitto to make up the difference.
On my second saver after the first split within a few hits. Love the rail tape but the edge savers are not a big enough improvement over standard electrical tape for the price.

the RSPro has a white line down the middle. It is also annoyingly short, and costs a fortune.

Yup. I have found some 3M helicopter tape, I will try next a bright orange thin electric tape (for visibility) under a 3M helicopter tape layer (for protection), might be the best combo.

I found that by using the Australian made

Watersport TAS 0427 600 333 paddle

I don't ding my rails .. no pimp !

And they can't be beaten in surf and wild water.

Yes. You have to use 2 layers if you want it to last any time at all. Two layers lasts at least four times longer than one.

If you use RSPro blade protector with their rail tape, you'll find that the rail tape eats the blade protector. I found this very disappointing.

I've given up on rail tape on distance boards. I just use 2 layers of 3M/Scotchguard helicopter tape (the thin door edge protector stuff) on my paddle and I never now seem to chip my rails. Most chips I get are along the very bottom rail edge that would not be covered by rail tape, and happens when picking a board up from gravel, concrete, stones etc.

It's different though for surf SUPs, for sure. Mostly I have rail protector on them.
