Seems like a sarcastic comment to me rather than a blatant put down. I could be wrong though. Interesting that he had Laird Hamilton on there and was still derisive. Trouble with the Internet is that every loony gets to have a say.

His take is long boarders started surfing, Simon Anderson is the master and before SUP, hybrids and modern longboarding were for deadbeats only now overtaken by SUP.

Clearly, God must be a shortboarder as anything else is not worthy of being surfed.

A well presented piece and certainly entertaining. In my experience with regard to law of the surf/code of ethics or whatever you want to call it, is that it's the short boarder who are the very first every time to disregard it and think nothing of dropping in on or cutting off a SUP rider, but the moment something doesn't go their way, well the sky may as well be falling. Hipocrite comes to mind!
Short boarders may be the vast majority, but they do not own the ocean, as is my experience they seem to think. Hopefully SUP is here to stay and the debate will continue.

Just like he says about his buddy Pascal in Switzerland the rivers and lakes of the world will make us coastal dwellers insignificant in numbers soon.....
