The von Piros film crew are the guys not to get a room next to...............if you want any sleep. They always party the hardest at Merimbula.

Nonetheless, those on my sort of budget should not panic. There are HEAPS of great caravan parks up that way, a few with unpowered campsites

If you are utterly broke and own a 4WD, there is even a free National Parks tent site at the northern end of Samurai Beach. (Wishing my 4WD was registered as there might even be the odd wave close by.)

Oh, I would be careful about leaving valuables on display in your car up there. I have had the bad experience while fishing at Shoal Bay to find someone had thrown a brick through the window, rummaged around, and ultimately found nothing worth stealing. NO, I did not even have a SUP on the roof! (Conceding also this could happen almost anywhere.)
